Bibury Heritage is an independent, non-profit organisation established to protect and enhance the historic, architectural and environmental significance of Bibury. Formed by members of the local community and Parish Council, Bibury Heritage provides a coordinated, evidence-based approach to the challenges facing the village, including over-tourism, landscape pressure, loss of community and environmental degradation.

Our work spans research, conservation, advocacy and community engagement. We champion responsible stewardship of the village’s heritage assets, support the preservation of its historic fabric, and promote sustainable initiatives that protect both residents’ quality of life and Bibury’s long-term resilience.

The charity exists to ensure that Bibury’s unique character is preserved for future generations—and that decisions affecting the village are informed, collaborative and grounded in what is best for the community.
